Biddick Academy Wellness Centre
Opened in November 2006, Biddick Academy Wellness Centre is a “state of the art” Fitness facility equipped with latest Technogym equipment.
The fully air conditioned 32 piece fitness suite includes:
- Cardiovascular machines with TV and Radio
- Resistance machines
- Free weights
All cardiovascular and resistance equipment are computer linked to enable individual programming and monitoring of progress.
The Wellness Centre is used as part of our ongoing commitment to Physical Education in the curriculum.
About Biddick Academy
Biddick is a popular and oversubscribed Academy, mainly serving the south of Washington, with around 1100 students on roll. We make a commitment to staffing and as a result we have one of the lowest teacher pupil ratios in the area.
Most of our students have English as a first language; the number of pupils with learning disabilities and the proportion entitled to free school meals are below average.
Ofsted judged us to be a good school with some outstanding qualities and parents were ‘overwhelmingly positive about the education and care that their children receive’.
